DC's weekly, 4-issue Countdown: Arena ships in December, and the official site for the mini notes that a character (or characters) from JLA: The Nail will be among the denizens of the multiverse chosen by Monarch to fight it out with 2 of his/her alternate selves for the privilege of joining Monarch's army.

Dan DiDio points out in the interview at http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=124768 that Monarch "needs one Superman, one Batman, a Wonder Woman, a Green Lantern, a Flash, a Blue Beetle, a Nightshade, a Starman, and a Ray," and since the Supes, Bats, WW and Green Lantern fight cards have already been revealed on the Arena site (with no Nail characters in these 3-way slugfests), my guess is that one of the three Flashes will be hailing (in this corner!) from the world of JLA: The Nail.
But wait! To make things (more) confusing, the writer of the mini, Keith Champagne, points out in the interview at http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=126009 that "Monarch has gone through all 52 of the universes and when all is said and done, there's a character from every single one to be found in the pages of Arena." So...maybe the character(s) from JLA: The Nail will be appearing as non-combatants, in attendance only to cheer on their favorites. ("Superman! Get in close and...use your knees! He won't expect that!")
JLA: The Nail character(s) to appear in Countdown: Arena
Dan DiDio says in the interview at http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=129373 that "we looked across the known earths of the Multiverse, and we tried to pick one character from each of the worlds we’ve seen to participate in Arena. I think in doing that, we’re giving the fans who’ve been following along and are excited by the Multiverse concept a glimpse of the various worlds that are out there, and the potential of the DCU Multiverse."
So it's characters from the known worlds of the Multiverse who'll be appearing/fighting in Countdown: Arena, implying that not all 52 worlds (many of them heretofore unseen) will be represented. So...expect a character from JLA: The Nail to engage in the fisticuffs after all!
Also, here's a listing/description of most of the known worlds of the new Multiverse, as found at http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/ ... 654291.cfm :
Burn those old-school, alternate reality atlases, world-travelers! With DC reintroducing the multiverse in 52 and sporting new parallel Earths, now’s the time to study up on their distinctions. Professor (and 52 scribe) Geoff Johns provides a crash course in the galaxy Mr. Mind made.
‘NEW EARTH’ “[There’s] New Earth and then there’s Earths 1 through 51. New Earth’s our main Earth in the DCU, and [there are] 51 on top of it. There are 52 in total.”
EARTH-2 “A pulp world where the Justice Society of America fights to protect its country against the threats of sabotage and incurring evil. Among their members are Robin; Batman’s daughter, the Huntress; and the Green Lantern and his daughter, Jade. We’ll be seeing Earth-2 in Justice Society of America in 2008.”
EARTH-3 “A world full of evil doppelgangers of Earth-2. I’d wager they have an annual team-up with the Anti-Matter Earth’s Crime Syndicate as the Justice Society had a team-up with the Justice League back in the day.”
EARTH-4 “A film noir planet populated by the Charlton characters. Greg Rucka’s perfect planet.”
EARTH-5 “A world of magic where Captain Marvel and his family’s adventures [happen]. Think Harry Potter meets the classic Fawcett Comics. Mark Waid’s perfect planet.”
EARTH-10 “A world where the Freedom Fighters represent something much different on an Earth embracing fascism. Grant Morrison wrote up an amazing concept for this one in particular, and he could write a hell of a series or line of books on this.”
EARTH-17 “A post-apocalyptic world where the Atomic Knights protect the last signs of life.”
EARTH-22 “Kingdom Come.”
EARTH-50 “The WildStorm Earth.”

It's noted in an article at Comic Book Resources that JLA members Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Atom and Hawkgirl from 'The Nail' universe appear alongside numerous characters in the 2-page spread in Countdown: Arena #1.
