Marvel released a series of promo cards in 1992 to hype their 'Bi-weeklies,' and card #6 put the spotlight on the bi-weekly run of Excalibur #56-61.

The Davis art on the card front had previously appeared (if I recall correctly) as a part of the frontispiece in Excalibur #50.

Check out an ebay auction featuring the card (front & back) at http://cgi.ebay.com/Promo-Marvel-Bi-Wee ... dZViewItem

Alan Davis' art appeared on the 4th 'segment' of the Inferno promo poster, as seen on the ebay auction below.

Note that this illustration by Alan (featuring Angel, Christopher Charles Summers and Phoenix) is an original piece and was only used for this Inferno promo.

The 4th segment by Alan was used as advertising page in one X-title (I think).

Checklist note -

The checklist on Alan's site ( www.alandavis-comicart.com/Checklist.html ) credits him with one illustration in the UKCAC89 Convention Book, when in fact Alan had two pieces published in that year's book: D.R. & Quinch (inked by Alan himself) and Batman vs. the Reaper (inked by Mark Farmer).

Alan Davis had given me a heads up that he did an interview with SFX magazine regarding Fantastic Four: The End, and Carol from www.sleepyfrog.com/cardsncomics has informed me that Alan's interview appears in SFX #151.

According to posts at the official SFX forum (at http://forum.sfx.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=6860 ), subscribers have already started to receive #151 in advance of its release in UK shops on November 22nd.

Checklist note -

The checklist on Alan's site lists the 'Harry 20 on the High Rock' strip as being reprinted in The Best of 2000 AD #28 (Jan. 1, 1988), but it should be noted that The Best of 2000 AD #27 (Dec. 1, 1987) kicked off the Harry 20 reprints which continued into #28.

The Fantastic Four poster book that was packaged with the Marvel Legends Fantastic Four boxed set includes a poster/pin-up of the Davis-pencilled front cover art for Fantastic Four (Vol.3) #1.

This poster book was also included in the variant boxed set featuring translucent versions of the Human Torch and the Invisible Woman figures, as well as the Wal-Mart-exclusive Heroes Reborn boxed set of the FF.

For (blurry) images of the art used in the poster book, click on the photo of the back of the FF boxed set (found under 'Boxed Sets') at http://marvellegends.info/

Note - it looks like Alan's art for the cover of FF (Vol.3) #1 was so popular that it was printed twice in the poster book.

A number of artists, including Alan Davis, produced 'jam' artworks at the UK Comic Art Convention in 1986 that were sold at that con as prints.

A photo of 12 prints is up on ebay, and it looks like Alan's rendition of Batman (note the signature beside the crouched crusader) on the first print from the second row.
