Alan Davis' Kobra art from Who's Who #12 was used on card #80 of the DC backing board cards.
From 1989, these cards came 8 to a sheet and served as the backing boards for 3-packs of DC comics available at large retailers (like Toys "R" Us).
The backs of the cards designated each as one of the following: 'Great Heroes,' 'Great Villains,' 'Great Teams' or 'Great Moments in Comics.'

That's a terrific picture of Ben Grimm. Wow 2 minutes 38 seconds and so much character in it. Easy to see why Alan is such a highly respected artist.Ilke wrote:ITEM!

As noted at the link below, a letter from Alan Davis saw print in Gary Spencer Millidge's Strangehaven #1.
http://www.cbdb.com/action.lasso?-datab ... 86&-search
Note - the 6-page, Davis-drawn 'Friday Night at the Local' was written by Millidge (as noted by Alan at http://www.alandavis-comicart.com/TRIVIAfnatl.html ), but the checklist entry on Alan's site for Mea Culpa Special (where the story eventually saw print) mistakenly credits Alan as the writer.
