Fair enough, I have to be honest, when the "sketch-off" was happening at Birmingham I was thinking it must be so weird for you guys who are probably used to working in isolation to be drawing with a room full of nerds (and being one myself I use the word with the greatest respect) watching you. Im o...

A question on inker etiquette
This might be a stupid question, but I'd rather ask it here than in person and risk offending.... I basically want to ask, if someone who is primarily known as an inker is at a sketching table at a convention, is it rude to ask them to ink someone elses work? Or in other words, if I have two Alan Da...

Hi, I just wanted to take this opportunity to again say thank you for the amazing sketch you did me at Birmingham, despite my catching you at the end of a heavy stint of signing and sketching. As for the promised beer.... I would have, but while I did venture into the VIP area in the pub we were in,...

There events are all planned, I know I’m up for the ‘quick draw’ again, but I have no idea of the schedule. Don’t worry, I’m not half as intimidating as I look. Alan LOL.... yeah, I'll be honest the thought "...and he's a big lad" popped in my head as well. Well if I see you in the bar on Saturday ...

Birmingham Comic Expo
Hi, I have noticed you and Mark Farmer are due to be making an appearance at the above con/expo. Just wondering if you knew of any scheduled events you would be appearing at, like happened at Bristol, or if it was more of a loosly planned deal. Thanks, and look forward to meeting you again. On a sad...

I thought the last part was HORRIBLE. Yeah, Viz shoulda got a mention, but to be given about 4 times the air time of 2000AD? Disgraceful. And Mr Moore's dramatic reading of Watchmen.... gotta be honest it made me cringe. And most of it seemed to be the makers going "Look at us, we can swear and show...

Thanks for taking the time to answer these. I can only imagine the frustration you and others feel at these things when confronted with people who you must know are probably getting things signed for all the wrong reasons. I was lucky enough to get a sketch and chat to Glen Fabry at Bristol, and whi...

A bit of Convention sketch Q&A
Bristol was my first con and saw lots of people getting lots of sketches from artists (yourself included) so I was wondering if you wouldnt mind answering a few quick fire con sketch questions 1) Who do you most often get asked to draw? (Seemed to be Captain Britain while I was there) 2) Who do you ...

Well thanks for the heads up. Will be sure and catch your panel on the Saturday and also looking forward to meeting you afterwards and stammering nervously :) As I mentioned in another thread I was really upset your Batman run ended before the introduction of Harley Quinn, so if you get a Welsh guy ...

Well I have my fingers crossed that I can in some way get a Harley Quinn sketch when I go to the Bristol Comic con in May. Mr Davis has been my favourite artist since DR & Quinch and while his run on Batman was awesome I do regret that the Harley character wasnt around then as I would have loved to ...

Bristol Comic Expo
Hi, I just read that you are to be appearing at the Bristol Comic Expo in May so I look forward to seeing you there along with a few others who I actually did believe were art droids when I was a kid! If I could ask, and this is as someone who has never attended a comic con before, do you know yet i...
